About me, Chelsea
Bad day? Throw on a red lip and kick ass.
Hello. My name is Chelsea Ganter and I am the owner of Face Treat.
I am from a small town in Saskatchewan where I grew up on a farm with my parents and three older brothers.
Beauty has always been a passion of mine. My first client was my mom. She had the pleasure of getting a number of makeovers when I was young (which were honestly awful, but my skills have improved I promise) and worked my way up to the artist I am today.
I put everything into each and every face I do. Thank you for your support in my journey of making my dream a reality.
Love,
Chelsea
Background
Where did you go to school for this?
A question I hear from almost every client of mine. I took the first part of my education from numerous YouTube videos throughout my childhood. The second and more credible part took place at the Alberta Academy of Aesthetics. Here I completed the Complete Film, Fashion, and Theatre program where I learned makeup for all areas of work. This includes photography, several styles of bridal, fashion, commercial and special effects.
This was such a. great experience and allowed me to learn new skills technically and creatively. Not only that, but I met some of the most amazing women whom I now have the pleasure of working with from time to time.
Where does Face Treat Come in?
Working to turn my dream into reality.
When I completed my first real client, a switch in my brain went off. This is what I wanted to do.
My goal then became to own my own professional makeup artistry business. I enrolled in a business diploma program to further educate myself and listened to every podcast about building your dream from the ground up.
I needed to start somewhere, so that was Face Treat (lies, it was CG Beauty and Makeup by Chelsea first). Right now, it is just me but someday I want to work with several other women in a beautiful studio who share the same passion that I do for the beauty industry.
Thank You
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To all those who support me through booking my services, following my social media, or just letting me know how much you like my work. Each and every drop of support means the world to me, and reminds me why I do what I do. Most importantly, it pushes me to keep going.
